Director Peter Greenaway explores the life of Dutch Golden
Age artist Rembrandt in a biographical feature that uses the 1642
painting "Night Watch" as a launching point to explore the 17th Century

Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg) is the finest cop London has to offer, with
an arrest record 400% higher than any other officer on the force. He's
so good, he makes everyone else look bad. As a result, Angel's
superiors send him to a place where his talents won't be quite so
embarrassing -- the sleepy and seemingly crime-free village of Sandford.
Once there, he is partnered with the well-meaning but overeager police
officer Danny Butterman (Nick Frost). The son of amiable Police Chief
Frank Butterman (Jim Broadbent), Danny is a huge action movie fan and
believes his new big-city partner might just be a real-life "bad boy,"
and his chance to experience the life of gunfights and car chases he so
longs for. Angel is quick to dismiss this as childish fantasy and
Danny's puppy-like enthusiasm only adds to Angel's growing frustration.
However, as a series of grisly accidents rocks the village, Angel is
convinced that Sandford is not what it seems and as the intrigue
deepens, Danny's dreams of explosive, high-octane, car-chasing,
gunfighting, all-out action seem more and more like a reality.
It's time for these small-town cops to break out some big-city justice.

On Friday, Shaun is in a rut. At 29, he's coasted through life--and
still hasn't gotten very far, usually winding up at the local pub, the
Winchester. His roommate Ed looks up to him--when he can take his eyes
off the TV, that is. Liz is re-evaluating their relationship,
particularly after Shaun fails to do something special for their
anniversary on Saturday. That day, there are train delays, people
fainting in the streets, TV news reporters on unexplained calamities.
No, it can't be--but it is--the dead have risen. Saturday's isolated
incidents mushroom into a full-on zombie assault and, once daylight
breaks, it's Sunday bloody Sunday. As manners and flesh take a beating,
it's time to separate men from meat, humans from zombies, and living
from undead. Shaun and Ed grab whatever is at hand to repel the
attacking zombies, summoning reserves of strength they didn't know they
possessed and straining muscles they forgot they had. Rounding up
friends and family, they press on towards the sanctuary of the
Winchester. All that stands in their way are hordes of the flesh eating
undead.
Martin stars in this short film: A guy borrows his best friend's mobile phone in order to call a girl he recently met, but the phone recognizes the number being dialed, leading to a number of awkward and funny complications.
Everywhere you look, love is causing
chaos. From the bachelor Prime Minister of the United Kingdom who, on
his first day at 10 Downing Street, falls in love with the girl who
brings him his tea, to a hopeless sandwich delivery guy who doesn't
think he has a chance with the girls in the U.K., so he heads for
Wisconsin. From aging rock stars, to a stony headmistress, to a
monolingual Portuguese housemaid--love arrives in many forms, shapes
and sizes. Here, ten separate--but intertwining--stories of love all
lead up to a big climax on Christmas Eve, proving that love is the
driving force in all of these people's lives.

leisure centre (where they like to chill out and also where Ali teaches his

strike and is spotted chained to some railings by the nefarious Deputy Prime
Minister David Carlton (played by Charles Dance), he is drawn into a world of
seedy political intrigue, as the Deputy Prime Minister tries to use Ali as a
tool to destroy the Prime Minister's credibility. Ali is put forward as a
candidate to be the next MP for Staines in a crucial by-election and manages to
alienate most who cross his path, including feminists and the elderly. He
manages to win the election by serendipitously outing his chief rival candidate
as a man who had 'sucked off a horse'.
